We ride bikes.
We’re a Stanford Club Sports team. We promote cycling, in all its forms, in our community.
Members ride together near Stanford and throughout the Bay Area and California and beyond. Our rides are open to anyone with a helmet!
We also promote bike safety on campus and in the local community.
We race bikes.
Stanford Cycling is a Club Sports team welcoming riders of all disciplines and experience levels. We represent the University in road, MTB, track, and cyclocross races under the direction of USA Cycling‘s Western Collegiate Cycling Conference. We routinely finish among the top teams at USA Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals, and compete at MTB Nationals.
Collegiate cycling is designed to promote racing at all ability levels, and we rely on cyclists new and old to acheive team success. Our main racing seasons are February through April (road) and September through November (MTB). We compete regularly at USA Cycling Collegiate Nationals and place well in the conference and the nation.
With Stanford’s 2nd place regionally and 4th place nationally, the road season is over. See the rest of our results at the WCCC site and check back in the Fall for the start of MTB season!
We host races.
Our collegiate conference is responsible for providing its own races. As an established team in the WCCC, we host a road race weekend each year and often also host a MTB race weekend.
We work in our community.
We also work to improve cycling in our community through service. We teach elementary school students safety skills, participate in safety events on campus, and advocate for better cycling infrastructure throughout the region.
